Each shrine to the gods you manage to repair or reconsecrate will provide a devotion point used to gain new powers through the constellation affinity system – and you’ll need those if you plan to go solo against some of the more difficult areas of the game.
As with the previous two acts, not all of these shrines are available on the Elite or Ultimate settings, but we’ve noted what items you need to repair those shrines that are available on the harder difficulties. If you missed them, be sure to also check out:

Grim Dawn Act 3 Shrines
Shrine 16
Location: Mountain Deeps
After coming into Mountain Deeps through Deadman’s Gulch (you can also get here from Prospector’s Trail on the other side), this shrine is found at the far western side of the area. You don’t need to use any items here, as the shrine is reconsecrated by battling a wave of arachnid enemies.
Shrine 16
Shrine 17
Location: Forgotten Depths
This shrine is found in the secondary underground map where the boss named Ungoliax The Gloomweaver is hiding. Use a serrated spike to repair the shrine, which is located at the top-central area of the map.
Shrine 17
Shrine 18
Location: Tyrant’s Hold
You can find this shrine in the western courtyard of Tyrant’s Hold near the top wall. Repairing the shrine requires a searing ember and scavenged plating. When playing Elite mode, you’ll instead need a searing ember and resilient plating, while anyone daring the Ultimate difficulty will have to use the rampage relic.
Shrine 18
Shrine 19
Location: Infested Farms
This area is accessible through the Rotting Croplands, with the ruined shrine found in the northern section to the right of a large building. Use a mutagenic ichor to repair the shrine and acquire an extra devotion point.
Shrine 19
Shrine 20
Location: Den Of The Lost
Finding this shrine takes a bit of effort, as it’s a fairly hidden location. In the Rotting Croplands, enter the Royal Hive cave and travel through the Skittering Den. To reach the Den Of The Lost, look for a section of wall your cursor will highlight, indicating it can be broken.
This area has the boss named Gollus The Deepdweller, along with a desecrated shrine on the top-left area. Reconsecrate the shrine by defeating a wave of riftspawn.
Shrine 20
Shrine 21
Location: Blood Grove
The shrine in this huge, open area is located a ways south of the riftgate and to the north of Lisandra Avery, who lets you complete the Blood Harvest quest. Repair the shrine using consecrated wrappings and a chthonic seal of binding.
Shrine 21
Shrine 22
Location: Village of Darkvale
The last shrine in Act 3 is located at the north end of this area just before you leave the area to enter the Darkvale Gate map. Available in all three difficulty settings, reconsecrating the shrine requires fighting a wave of chthonic horrors.
Shrine 22
Grim Dawn Act 4 Shrines
Shrine 23
Location: Asterkan Valley
The first Act 4 shrine is easy to find to the west of the riftgate in Asterkan Valley. Repair the shrine with a cracked lodestone.
Shrine 23
Shrine 24
Location: Asterkan Valley
Unlike the previous shrine, this one takes a lot of effort to get to, as it is only available during a specific quest. To get this devotion point, you will first need to have a reputation of at least “honored” with the Rovers.
In Act 4, go back to Old Arkovia and talk to Amkala, who will give you the “Rhowari Legacy” quest. After completing the quest, you can repair this shrine on the far eastern side of Asterkan Valley using a rune stone of Mogdrogen, a spirit of Mogdrogen, and an ancient heart.
Shrine 24
Shrine 25
Location: Lost Tomb Of The Damned
This is another hidden shrine found in a secret location. While travelling through Fort Ikon you will enter an area called the Tomb of Archon Barthollem. On floor 2 of that area, look for a torch on the wall you can interact with, then break down the section of loose wall to enter the Lost Tomb Of The Damned.
The shrine is repaired with an ancient heart on any difficulty, but you will also need the blood of chthon on Elite, as well as tainted brain matter on Ultimate.
Shrine 25
Shrine 26
Location: Gates Of Necropolis
The 26th shrine is found easily in the Gates Of Necropolis area by heading south of the riftgate. Reconsecrate this shrine by killing a wave of chthonics.
Shrine 26
Shrine 27
Location: The Black Sepulcher
This area is accessed through the Gates Of Necropolis and the shrine is found in the central room. The shrine can be repaired with roiling blood on normal difficulty, or the blood of chthon and a frozen heart on Elite. For Ultimate mode, you instead need the blood of chthon and and a rotten heart.
Shrine 27
Shrine 28
Location: Bastion Of Chaos
The final shrine available on the game’s base difficulty setting, this shrine is found after repairing the broken bridge and entering the Bastion Of Chaos. The shrine is in the north-central section and is consecrated by killing a wave of chthonics.
Shrine 28
Shrine 29
Location: Sanctum Of The Immortal
Unlike the rest of the shrines, this one is only available in Ultimate mode and can’t be found on the easier difficulties. To access this area while playing on the Ultimate difficulty, you need to have a stormheart in your inventory, along with all three entries of Dravis’ letter to Dalia.
When you have all the required items, head to the northeastern area of the Gates Of Necropolis and you’ll find a spirit near a wagon. Give the spirit the salt bag amulet you started the game with to access the Sanctum Of The Immortal and the final shrine, which is repaired with a skeleton key.
Shrine 29
That’s all the shrines to be found in Grim Dawn’s four campaign acts. When you repair or reconsecrate every shrine in all three consecutive difficulty settings, you will unlock the coveted True Devotion achievement - let us know when you finally manage to snag them all!
