There are tons of insects around you in Grounded. While it is very easy to take on the smaller insects and take items and collectibles from them, sometimes you will have to face the bigger ones too. This includes ants, spiders, and even ladybugs. The items that you get to harvest from them are much more valuable than the ones you harvest from the smaller, weaker insects. One such item that is quite useful in many recipes of Grounded is the Ant Mandible

These can be collected from ants only and that too a specific kind of ant. You can then use it for creating and crafting more durable, better items overall. But these are not that easy to come and if you don’t know where you should look for it, then it will be fairly difficult to get. So how do you get Ant Mandibles? Let’s find out in this guide.

How to get Ant Mandibles?

Ant Mandibles are collectables or extracts that you can collect from ants. And by ants, we mean the soldier ants. These are the ants that are always a threat and they attack you right away. You can find the soldier ants in regions closer to their anthill, and they mostly travel in pairs. Now there are worker ants in the backyard too, but you won’t get Ant Mandibles from them. Ant Mandibles are something that only the soldier ants can give you.

Now if you are unable to find the soldier ants in regions closer to the anthill, then you should try killing a few worker ants. Worker ants normally don’t disturb you but if you pick a fight, then will attack. But these ants can be easily taken care of. When you kill a few worker ants, the soldier ants will soon come and attack you but remember these are not as easy as the worker ants. The one thing that makes the fight really difficult is the fact that they usually move in pairs so even while attacking, they will attack you in a pair which can be very lethal.

So the best thing to do in such a situation is to divide both of them and then take care of both of them one by one. Now, you can use the Sprig bow to take care of these ants from a distance. That way you don’t have to worry about separating them at all as one will be taken out by the bow itself. Keep hitting the ant when you fight with it and finish it off completely. Then over his remains, you will harvest Ant Mandibles.

You can then use Ant Mandibles to craft a number of items, which include, a sap catcher, a powerful ant club, a stuffed soldier ant furniture piece, a soldier ant head mount, and much more. With newer updates, we will get to see even more useful for the Ant Mandibles.

So that is all about how you can get Ant Mandibles and what you can do with it.
